How far can transcience be halted?
How can you capture a fleeting moment?
And how do you demonstrate the vulnerability that is inherent in life? Or in death?
Patricia van de Camp’s work is dominated by big themes. It cannot be characterized by one word.
It is still, ‘in slow motion’, stylish, pure, strong and fragile at the same time.
She allows herself to be surprised by the world around her and transforms these stimuli into a strong image. The result varies from vulnerable portraits to still lifes of dead animals –and everything reflects the transitory nature of life.
